As you might expect from the Cube’s space-efficient design, passenger space is plentiful. The tall roof and multi-adjustable backseat create more than enough headroom and legroom for two tall adults in back. The compact 2010 Nissan Cube is a four-door hatchback that’s offered in base, S, SL and Krom trim levels. The S adds color-keyed side view mirrors, cruise control, upgraded upholstery, dual-visor vanity mirrors, two more speakers and a rear cargo cover.

The SL adds 16-inch alloy wheels, the CVT, automatic climate control, iPod integration, MP3 playback capability and automatic on/off headlights. Powertrains and Performance

The front-wheel-drive 2010 Nissan Cube comes with a 1.8-liter four-cylinder engine that produces 122 hp and 127 pound-feet of torque. The base Cube and Cube S come standard with a six-speed manual. Optional on the S and standard on the SL and Krom is a CVT.

In performance testing, a Cube S with the CVT accelerated from zero to 60 mph in 9.7 seconds. With the manual transmission, the Cube achieves an EPA-estimated 24 mpg city/29 mpg highway and 26 mpg combined. The CVT improves that to 28/30/29.

Safety

The 2010 Nissan Cube comes standard with front-seat side airbags and full-length side curtain airbags as well as stability control and anti-lock brakes.
